Design/Build
A large property on a cul-de-sac that used to have unused and neglected corners, is now a functional space for entertaining guests and gathering family, playing, and growing vegetables, as well as a safe habitat for pollinators and beneficial insects. Goals for the design were to improve circulation in the backyard, provide a space for a hot tub and fire pit, add privacy, playspaces, beauty and overall functionality, and a more intentional space for vegetable gardening. Improvements included:
New smart irrigation system
Paver patio for hot tub and fire pit, with hidden concrete footings for a future pergola
Flagstone walk
Low water, native perennial gardens
Border plantings for privacy and screening
Berms
Boulders
Stripstone retaining wall and edging
Lower water fescue sod lawn
Fruit tree
Raised vegetable beds
Play spaces
